Crab Salad Mounded in Lettuce Leaves

No Carb Recipes – Crabby Salad Boats

Another great one for the no carb recipes book! Here is a lettuce boat recipe I had made using leftover crab from a family BBQ. Smoked crab is a favorite at my house and we are able to do it only a couple time a year due to the price of crab. This recipe will work with any crab, so find a sale and crack them yourself or get the lump crab from the butcher area in your grocery store and work some magic on those lettuce boats!

Crabby Salad Boats

253 Calories and 4 net carbs and 9g of protein for sure to keep your metabolism burning!

  • 1 Cup Crab Meat
  • 1/2 Cup Celery
  • 1/4 Cup Chive
  • 1/4 Cup Dill Pickle
  • 1/2 Cup Cole Slaw Mix (no dressing)
  • 2 Tbsp. Mayonnaise
  • 1 Tbsp. Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Tsp Apple Cider Vinigar
  • 2 Romain Lettuce Leaves

Thinly Dice the Celery, Dill Pickle and Chive. Add Cole Slaw Mix, Mayo, Mustard & ACV. Mix Well then fold in your crab and fill the Romain Leaves. Enjoy!

These are super yummy and if you are looking for a party treat they are great in large batches where your guests can get a great snack in at the buffet! The salad is also a great topper for egg boats or zucchini slices, well you get the point! It is really versatile so have fun with it 🙂

I like to add herbs to my salads and give them a bit of other distinction. My favorite way for this salad is a pinch of tarragon and a little fresh parsley.

  1. Crab and Lobster must be my favourite seafood, in fact I love anything to do with seafood, even Sushi.

A shame the other-half is not a fan otherwise I would be eating it all the time.

This is one that I will be trying, mind you for a party I think the guests would have to do with something else.

Thanks for sharing and I have bookmarked your site as there are a few other recipes that I would like to try.
