No Carb Recipes – Spicy Tuna Avocado Bites

I love no carb recipes that taste great! Here is another favorite low carb recipe that is great anytime!

Generally speaking unless you are only eating protein you will have some carbs in every meal, however the amount of fiber from the veggies should make up for those leaving very little to no net carbs.

Let talk about the avocado for minute. This is an incredible food that can be incorporated into so many recipes as a texture and moisture element as you would mayo, dressing or other fats. The substitution of this wonderful fruit allows you to use less fats that are not so healthy for you! Get creative with your ideas, like substituting or adding into smoothies or even baked goods for a delish change-up!

Avocado health benefits are many and it helps you get in the 500g or 5 servings of fruits and veggies recommended for a healthy diet! It has also been found that avocado eaters actually weigh less and have a smaller waist line making it a great addition to a weight management diet. The Avocado also helps your body absorb fat soluble nutrients from other foods consumed with it. Helping with heart health and also showing cancer fighting benefits it really is a great way to get the fat you crave!

This is a favorite of mine for some lovely spicy flavor!

4 hardboiled egg whites

1/2 Avocado

1/4 Cup of celery approximately 1 large stalk

Three stems of chive or 2-3 tbsp

5 oz can wild tuna

1 tbsp mayonnaise

1/2 tsp sriracha or favorite hot sauce (just watch the sugar)

1/2 tsp prepared horseradish

1/4 tsp garlic salt

Dice Avacado, chive and celery very small.

Add to a bowl the horseradish, sriracha, salt and mayonnaise and mix until blended.

Add the Tuna to the bowl and stir.

Then add the avacado mixture and fold together until mixed evenly.

Fill egg whites with the mixture and enjoy!

This is a perfect time to start that waist slimming diet with the farmers markets starting to open and local fresh produce getting stalked all over. Get to the local farm stand for the freshest veggies and stalk your fridge. If you have a large selection of veggies on hand for recipes like this one you won’t be sorry. I always find I eat more veggies and fruits if I purchase a good selection and then have to eat them or find creative ways to incorporate them in my cooking lest they spoil. It’s the kind of way my psychology with food works, if your is different play to it and get the very important fruits and veggies in your diet. The more the better and really is not a bad way of doing it if you are sure to mix it up all the time. Of course if you are only eating one thing in excess this can cause some issues of overdoing it but for the most part you should really just get a variety and eat them together.

The more colorful your dish is the more appealing it is to eat and the more nutrients you will get from the combinations!
