What is Healthy Eating Habits – Food, Health and You

Food, Health and You: Review It is easy to get distracted and confused about all the different so called “NEW discoveries” of what is or is not healthy. I have looked all over the web and the guides to nutrition I have found, give some information but not all and still leave me with the question of What is Healthy Eating Habits?

I have found it! A comprehensive guide on the subject that is based on science and real nutrition facts by Food, Health, & You that I would like to share with you. Check it out!

Healthy Eating and Weight Loss

Well these 2 things go together like peas and carrots ( this is an ongoing movie reference at my house:) Basically though, healthy eating is going to support a healthy weight as a result and so if you are overweight you can bet your diet may be the culprit.

You say you eat healthy and are still not getting results? Well that “health food” you are eating may not be the right food for your goals or may not really be “healthy” at all. They only way to know is to arm yourself with education to interpret the ingredients of what you are buying.

I think it is better explained in the helpful package offered by Food, Health, & You. They have the explanation on why this is not all your fault and what you can do about it. Only one part of this awesome package.

I am referring to this as a package because it is much more than a plan. A plan is also included but this really is an educational experience on nutrition. I really like that they explain in detail what is healthy and what is not and why! It answers the questions! I also find helpful that this series offers insight into todays dieting and nutritional questions.

The Food, Health, & You complete package explains the answers to the question: what is healthy eating habits in a very complete way.

The package includes cutting edge 8 episode (and 4 bonus episodes) documentary series.

8 Original Episodes (DVD + Digital)
4 Additional, Never-Before-Seen Episodes (Physical + Digital)
Companion Guide and Transcript For Each Episode (PDF and Hard Copy)
Transformational Cookbook (PDF and Hard Copy)
The Top 77 Superfoods for Healing (PDF and Hard Copy)
21-Day Meal Plan (PDF and Hard Copy)

The VIP Package is on sale right now for $199.95 (originally $399.95) and I think this is a reasonable price for all the information that is packed in it.  This package also comes with a 60 day money back guarantee.

The education alone in this package is really in depth but written with the reader in mind, so it is easy to follow.

This package addresses not only weight loss but the whole picture that goes into all aspects of nutrition for your health. You may think why do I want to know about eating for diabetics or other health related issues like gut health? They all tie in together for weight loss and management. They all go together like peas and carrots 🙂

Here is an article from Food, Health, & You I really agree with below. I have heard countless times from different people “dieting” they are going to avoid fruit for the sugar content. This may be alright for a short term weight loss plan but is not a healthy idea over the long run and if you want to prevent disease or have more energy fruits should be included in abundance:

How fruit works with weight loss

To lose weight you need to take in fewer calories, but that doesn’t mean that you have to eat less.

That’s where fruit comes in. Fruits and berries add bulk to our diets without adding a lot of calories.

Fruit can be used as a substitute for high calorie foods in our diet, helping us feel full and satisfied.

If we add fruits like peaches, strawberries, and apple to our breakfast cereals, we can cut down the cereal portion size. That reduces overall calories, but we don’t have to starve ourselves.

Fruits can be also used as a substitute for high glycemic index foods in our diet and can help in weight loss.

You can make a salad much more appealing (if you’re not already a salad fan) by adding fruit and berries.

You should aim to eat five serving of fruits every day and opt for different colors.

If you’re trying to lose weight, you might eat more fruit and berries, but it’s important to consider their sugar content and other properties.

Berries are low glycemic and have less sugar, so they’re a really great choice for your fruit. Plus they’re easy to add to yogurt, cereal, oatmeal, and salads.

Scientists at Harvard University found that increasing the daily intake of fruit can prevent weight gain, even if you continue consuming the same amount of calories.

Researchers suggest that the benefits of eating fruit comes from the flavonoids they contain; flavonoids are a group of phytonutrients found in fruits and vegetables that impart color.

Some experts say the secret to losing weight are flavonoids.

A CNN article titled, “The secret to maintaining and losing weight: Berries, onions and wine” said, “Flavonoids are natural compounds found in plants that, among other things, help the plant cells communicate and create the color so a plant is attractive to the bees, butterflies and birds that help with pollination. For humans, flavonoids seem to push the right biological buttons that keep bodies from gaining weight.”

The most effective type of flavonoids, called anthocyanins, are found in strawberries, cherries, blackberries, blueberries, grapes, radishes and blackcurrants.

Other studies have shown that flavonoids might increase energy expenditure while decreasing fat absorption.

They have many more options and companion episodes you can sign up for as well. Check them out and get the whole picture to nutrition and weight loss.
